This week of LeapIN was TECHnically fuelled by a variety of presenters: From streaming workshops and TikTok tips and tricks from our LEAPers, to accessing advice and support from the Venture Growth team at TechAlliance... these entrepreneurs are well equipped for whatever digital challenge they choose to conquer next!
Day 25: Doki Doki
Juliana, the owner of Doki Doki, kicked off this week with a relaxed and informative workshop on streaming. She walked everyone through the steps of conducting engaging live streams to boost their business and connect with their audience in a meaningful way. Juliana also organized an activity where her fellow entrepreneurs practiced what she was presenting, ensuring hands-on learning and immediate application of the skills taught.
Nick hosted a workshop for the cohort, explaining what an MVP (Minimum Viable Product) is and how it fits into analyzing business models. He used practical examples to illustrate its role in managing risks and boosting business success.
Day 26: Field trip to TechAlliance!
Shoutout to TechAlliance for hosting us once again this year! The LEAPers had an awesome time learning from the Venture Growth team, soaking up some great insights through a workshop and panel discussion. They also got the opportunity for one-on-one meetings with advisors for personalized advice to step up their entrepreneurial game. Thank you to Andrew Leest, Dr. Martin Smith, PHD, and Serge Muhirwa for giving our entrepreneurs the space and resources to achieve their dreams!
Day 27: Launching MVPs
On Thursday, Dave conducted an experiment with the LEAPers, guiding them through the launch of their MVP (Minimum Viable Product) and providing practical tips on how to execute it successfully. He shared valuable insights and strategies to ensure their launch was smooth and effective, empowering them to kickstart their entrepreneurial journey with confidence.
Lily, the owner of The Root Yoga, hosted a laid-back session where she broke down Gary Vaynerchuk's "Day Trading Attention" book. She dished out awesome tips and tricks on TikTok posting, showing the crew how to make waves online and connect with their audience in new and exciting ways.
Drumrolls please... This week, the LEAPers got a cool surprise—they received their entrepreneur swag from local business 519 Clothing! Now, decked out in their new gear, they're pumped to show off the LEAP brand and rock that entrepreneurial vibe wherever they go.
